Home canning: Parowax is the pure, refined paraffin wax preferred by generations of homemakers for sealing jams, jellies and preserves. Note: To reduce the risk of molding, make two pourings of wax approximately five minutes apart to ensure a proper seal. For snow skis, water skis, surfboards: Parowax is the ideal wax for skis and surfboards. Assures maximum speed, provides protection from wear and moisture. Square cakes deposit wax quickly, easily, and uniformly. Candle making: The finest decorative candles can be easily made with Parowax. Reduces friction: Parowax makes things slide easily and quietly. Rub onto zippers, drawer runners, latches, tight fitting windows, doors, etc. Waxing skis. Reduces friction. A highly refined paraffin wax for sealing jams, jellies, and preserves, in open top containers and for home candlemaking. Made in USA.
Contains: Will ignite if overheated or exposed to open flame. To avoid danger and to preserve the quality of the wax, always melt over water - preferably in a double boiler.
Preserving and Canning: 1. Fill glasses or jars to within 1/2 inch of top. 2. Clean inside top rim of container to remove any preserves from surface. 3. While contents are hot, cover with 1/8 inch layer of melted Parowax. 4. When cold, add another 1/8 inch layer of melted Parowax, tilting and rotating to seal completely. General Uses: 1. Seal bottles by dipping tops. 2. Rub hot iron over Parowax, wrapped in cloth, to keep smooth and bright. 3. Lubricate sticking drawers, windows, doors and zipper fasteners. 4. Rub Parowax on snow shovels to aid shoveling wet snow. 5. Lubricate snow skis and toboggans. 6. Wax surfboards. 7. Coat inside of garbage cans with melted Parowax to prevent rusting, sticking of contents, and enable easier cleaning. 8. Create decorative candles and artificial flowers. Grease candle molds lightly with vegetable oil and chill prior to use.
