In a saucepan, bring water to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: 4 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 1 cup rice; 2 cups water; Makes 3 cups (cups cooked). 8 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 2 cups rice; 4 cups water; Makes 6 cups (cups cooked). 12 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 3 cups rice; 6 cups water; Makes 9 cups (cups cooked)). 2. Stir in rice (Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water). 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 2 cups water and 1 cup rice (Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water). 2. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.
